Top Considerations when Thinking of Glass Railing Systems

Now that you’ve decided that a glass railing system is the way to go to make your home stand out from the rest, there are a few things to consider before making that purchase. Here are a few questions that you’ll want to ask yourself:

Indoors or Outdoors?
Where do you want your beautiful new glass railings? Would you prefer them outside so that you can improve the curb appeal of your home and be able to sit outside and enjoy watching the sunset without anything in your way? Or would you rather replace your old, tired indoor banister, opening up your home and making it feel like you have tons of space?

Framed or Frameless
Many people prefer the framed look, with the handrails running along the top and sides of the glass. Others want the clean, clear look of just a piece of glass, their view completely unobstructed. You have to decide what will look best for your home and what will fit the style and décor.

Stainless Steel or Painted
Would the look of steel running along your deck, that shiny metallic surface glistening in the sun, go perfectly with the rest of your home? Or would you rather a more subdued colour, something that matches the rest of the colours?

Frosted or Clear
What kind of glass do you want installed? Some people want to protect their privacy and have frosted glass placed around their deck. That way no one can see inside and they can enjoy the feel of the outdoors without neighbours staring at them. Other people want the clear glass to let everything in and they can enjoy the world around them.
