Vancouver spring outdoor frameless glass railing cleaning tips
You’ve probably noticed your frameless glass railing looking less than stellar after the dreary winter season. All those dead leaves, dirt and debris blowing around for months have left their mark. Well, now is the perfect time to show it a little love.
Bring back the sparkle of your glass railing just in time for backyard bbqs with family and friends this spring and summer. You might be surprised at just how quick and easy it is. So grab a few simple cleaning supplies and give your glass railing a fresh face with these top tips.
Tips for cleaning frameless glass railing this spring
- Use soap and water to clean
- Can also use vinegar and water to clean
- Air dry
- Or use a microfibre cloth to dry.
- Can use a squeegee to remove water
A few drops of soap mixed with water is a good all-around cleaner that will tackle the dirt and grime accumulated over the last few months. If leaves and/or bird droppings or other debris have dried onto the surface, soak the area first to make it easier to remove. You can use a garden hose for a lot of coverage, fast, or a bucket and water to minimise water spray. Make sure to use a non-abrasive cloth to wipe or scrub.
Vinegar and water works well to remove spots and streaks and restore shine. Combine with a squeegee to remove excess water and your glass will truly gleam. You’ll fall in love with your unobstructed view all over again.
You can let your glass railing air dry naturally. Or you can use a lint-free (microfibre) cloth to dry it. It might be tempting to use paper towel but you may want to avoid it as it tends to leave a lot of lint behind.
